Minute to Win It is a game show on NBC that uses games that had to be originally concocted for youth groups. On the show's website , they have included all of the games complete with instructions, items needed and video. There are loads of ideas here. And since on the game show it is adults competing, every game is something a parent and teen can compete in.

For my submission I'd like to submit a website/blog that contains ideas I use frequently. Insigh t is the idea blog for Grahame Knox. While not necessarily ideas for parents and teens, I can adjust them as needed. So many great ideas.

This is good ice breaker for everyone. Hold a deck of cards face down and have each person take a card without peeking at it. As soon as everyone has a card have them hold their cards up so everybody can see it (including them). Whatever the number on theri card is, that person must tell that many things about his/herself that no one else might know. Face cards are counted as eleven and Aces are worth twelve.

A few years ago our student group got tired of playing kickball. So one day while I was in Walmart I got an idea for a new game called Plunger Ball.
